Vaccination Policy

Residential Undergraduate

A Health and Immunization Record is required of each student when admitted to Ohio Christian University. Students must be vaccinated against meningococcal disease and hepatitis B. The data will be kept on file in the Office of Student Development and Residence Hall Office. All information is kept in strict confidence, per FERPA and HIPPA Laws. Students must have their Health and Immunization Record completed and submitted to the Admissions office prior to Student Orientation at the beginning of the semester. Student Health Services Immediate health care is available to students through Urgent Care at Berger Hospital. The student is responsible for charges incurred. Students can notify their Residence Life Staff when ill so that their progress can be monitored. The Coordinator of Residence Life & Housing and Residence Life Staff must be informed of any current medical problem or disease requiring a doctor's care or any long term medications in order to have up-to-date medical history to better serve the student.

College of Adult & Graduate Studies

Ohio Christian University’s College of Adult and Graduate Studies does not require the submission of health/ immunization records for admission or enrollment. The University recommends that all applicants, students, and their families review the list of recommended vaccines that has been compiled by the American College Health Association (ACHA) with assistance from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Ohio Christian University also recommends that all students maintain these recommended vaccinations.
