OCU Teacher Education Graduate Receives First License Ever

On June 23rd, 2010, Sarah Johnson became the first graduate of the Ohio Christian University’s Teacher Education program to achieve state certification.

Sarah graduated with honors (valedictorian) and applied for licensure by the state of Ohio.  As a result of ODE approval in May 2009, and TEAC conditional approval in 2010, OCU students are now eligible for state certification and are prepared to teach in both the public and private school sector.

Sarah deserves our congratulations on a job well done! As our first TE grad to receive licensure, we hold her in high esteem.

Sarah now teaches preschool at The Creation Station in Circleville, while also assisting Dr. Wilson with a "Teaching Literature with Young Children" course.
