OCU Approved to Offer Master of Business Administration
Ohio Christian University (OCU) received word that it is now approved to offer the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Management. This was the final approval required from the Higher Learning Commission, the regional accreditation organization. Beginning in August, these programs will be offered through OCU’s convenient College of Adult and Graduate Studies with the option of taking online or one-night-a-week evening classes.
Dr. Tim Eades, Vice President for the College of Adult and Graduate Studies, stated, “We determined the need for these programs by surveying many individuals and crafting the programs to meet the needs of busy, working adults.” Eades added, “These career-focused programs will be offered fully online as well as at many of our campus based locations.”
The MBA program provides for the leaders of today and tomorrow with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in a competitive business environment. The program emphasizes critical and strategic thinking, business management skills, ethics, and real-world applications.
The Master of Management program prepares professionals who want to enhance their career path in a variety of profit or not-for-profit organizations. The program emphasizes critical and strategic thinking, ethics, and real-world application of management principles.
These programs include a refresher for those who graduated from a business degree some time ago. Those without a business undergraduate degree are welcome into these programs.
OCU President Mark Smith said, “OCU is happy to serve our community with additional programs and will continue to look for ways to serve the community and world.”
OCU has been offering the Master of Arts in Ministry degree for two years and had its first graduates from this program last month. This program enhances the ministry skills of pastors and lay people.
