OCU Designated “Military Friendly” for Fourth Year

For the fourth consecutive year, Ohio Christian University has been designated as a “Military Friendly School.” This recognition is given nationwide to only 20% of the colleges, universities, and trade schools who are committed to serving those who serve. The Military Friendly lists are “determined mathematically from data-driven survey submissions consisting of over 100 questions, compiled with assistance from our independent advisory boards.”

The College of Adult and Graduate Studies recently recognized Frank Tillotson (pictured below), former Marine Sergeant, as the 2014 Honor Graduate. He commended OCU on communicating well with the VA, “There was very little I had to do to make the GI benefits process work at OCU.”

OCU has a military-specific webpage to address questions. We accept military training for credit utilizing the Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services. We also accept credits by examinations from DANTE and DSST and allow students to write for credits based on prior learning from workshops and experiences.

At OCU, active duty, veterans, spouses, and dependents (under the age of 23) are eligible for a tuition rate of only $250 per semester hour, which applies to all levels of programs – associate, bachelor, and graduate. Additionally, OCU accepts all applicable military benefits (e.g. GI Bill, Ohio National Guard Scholarship program). This makes it is very likely that all tuition and expenses can be covered by the GI Bill and/or tuition assistance.

The College of Adult and Graduate Studies serves non-traditional learners as they earn degrees at locations in Ohio and Georgia and online. If you’re ready to continue your education, call us at 1-855-OCU-GRAD or visit http://www.ohiochristian.edu/adult-degree-programs.
