Celebrate 25 years of Southern Gospel music with the Guardians on Nov 16 | A Passion for Christian Higher Education

On March 23rd of this year Ohio Christian University dedicated the 30,000 square foot, $6 million Dean and Diana Hickman Student Center. The Center, which includes a cafeteria, café, bookstore, intramural gym space, game room, classrooms and offices, was built to help support and develop the rapidly growing student body at OCU.

The building is named for Dean and Diana Hickman in gratitude for their very generous support of the university and this project. OCU President Mark Smith said, “Dean and Diana have been good friends of Ohio Christian University. It was reasonable to name our new student center in honor of them.” The Hickman Student Center adjoins the Maxwell Center and the Science and Logistics Center. These beautiful facilities not only benefit the OCU student body, but more and more community members are being blessed through them as well.

During the ceremony the Hickmans emphasized the great need for Christian higher education and commended OCU for its good work in meeting that need. Their part in accomplishing that goal goes beyond the development of the campus; they continue to invest in its students through the establishment and continued support of a student scholarship fund.

Along with the generous gifts received here at OCU, Dean is passionate about sharing the Gospel Message in song through his ministry with the Guardians Quartet. The Guardians will be celebrating their 25th Anniversary in concert on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 7 PM in the Maxwell Center. A free will offering will be taken with the proceeds going to the “Dean and Diana Hickman Scholarship Fund.” Make plans to attend today!
