Dr. Malon Mimms Provides $2.5 Million Gift

OCU is pleased to announce that Atlanta businessman Dr. Malon Mimms has gifted a 2.55 million dollar building and property in Atlanta, Georgia.

The building is located on I-75 and will be used to establish the second Georgia educational site for OCU.  President Mark Smith in making the announcement said, “This gift is the largest ever received by OCU, and we are so grateful for the generosity of our friend Dr. Malon Mimms.”

In giving the gift, Dr. Mimms expressed a hope to provide a great opportunity for the Atlanta area by investing in Ohio Christian University.  Dr. Mimms also expressed that he hopes others will be inspired to give to the cause of Christian education.

OCU will use the building to offer AIM evening classes designed for busy adults.  The first Georgia educational site is located at Rock Springs Church in Milner and began six months ago.
