Financial Aid Timeline

Complete the FAFSA now if you have not already done so. Some Federal grants are awarded on a first come, first served basis. HURRY! MONEY IS BEING AWARDED FAST!


New Students

If you are a student who will be new for the coming fall, be sure to have your FAFSA completed by the May 1st priority deadline!

All Students

Look for a summer job! Chances are you will need to contribute at least some money towards your school bill for the coming school year. Do not depend on school loans as your income for college!


May

New Students

May 1 st is your FAFSA priority deadline!!! Make sure that you have completed and submitted your FAFSA by this date in order to be eligible for financial aid for this coming fall.

All Students

Notify us of any scholarships you have received from outside sources. This will enable us to finalize your financial aid package for the coming school year once we have received your FAFSA. If your family contribution is unmanageable, consider making interest-free monthly payments through AMS. Call the Ohio Christian University Financial Aid Department at (740) 477-7758 for more information. Check with your church and remind them of our Church Matching Grant Program. We will match up to $500 per semester with your church’s donation to your education. Church Matching Grant Program application forms are available in the Financial Aid Office.


New Students

Ask your guidance counselor to forward your FINAL high school transcript to Ohio Christian University.

Current Students

Complete your FAFSA no later than July 1 st. Hurry! The Priority Deadline is fast approaching!


Current Students

July 1st is your FAFSA priority deadline. DO NOT DELAY! Failure to complete and submit the FAFSA by July 1st could result in serious financial aid issues.

All Students

NOTE: It is best to have your billing estimate handy when you call so that you can determine the total amount that you will need to pay over the course of the coming semester or school year. Billing estimates are sent to all student who have completed and submitted the FAFSA and who have been awarded financial aid by the Ohio Christian University Financial Aid Office.


If you have signed up a payment plan, begin making payments this month. Review your award letter and billing estimate and send it back signed to the Financial Aid Office along with any other requested paperwork that you received in your award packet. Payment in full must be made by the first day of classes unless another payment option has been arranged.


FAFSA forms arrive at the Ohio Christian University Financial Aid Office and High School guidance offices. FAFSA information is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.


Fill out the FAFSA online using you/your parents’ previous year’s 1040 tax returns and designate Ohio Christian University (School ID#003030) as a recipient of the data.


If you have not submitted the FAFSA, DO IT NOW! DON'T DELAY ! You will receive a report from the federal processor after submitting the FAFSA. Check the report carefully for errors. Any errors that are found should be corrected. Errors can be corrected at www.fafsa.ed.gov, or you may call our office at 740-477-7758 for help.
