Business: Logistics Management Concentration

A Bachelor in Logistics Management will help you become prepared for careers in purchasing and supplier management, manufacturing logistics, transportation management, inventory, distribution and warehouse management, information management as well as customer service management. Often, Logistic Management degrees can be referred to as Supply Chain Management degrees. The Bachelor of Arts in Logistics Management studies the movement, storage, and processing of materials and information across the entire supply chain, from acquisition of raw materials and components, through manufacturing, to delivery of finished products to end users.

Program Objectives

Upon completion of the Bachelor of Arts in Logistics Management, students should be able to:

  • Integrate Christian principles in critical thinking and decision making.
  • Apply management functions and skills.
  • Explain modal (motor carrier, railroad, air, water and pipeline) and intermodal characteristics, transportation policy and regulations, transportation pricing and costing, and service.
  • Use the principles of inventory management to improve an organization’s bottom line.
  • Employ the principles of purchasing to obtain the right materials, of the right quality, in the right quantity, at the right time, at the right price, from the right source.

Admission Requirements: 
Students must have a US High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 50 semester credit hours from an accredited institution of higher learning. Students with fewer than 50 semester hours may apply to an Associate of Arts program to complete this requirement.
