Sturgis, Michigan Senior Signs with Lady Trailblazers Volleyball

Cierra Guest signs with the Lady Trailblazers Volleyball team.

Ohio Christian University is proud to announce our second signee for Women's Volleyball. Cierra Gest, a senior from Sturgis High School in Michigan has signed to play for the Lady Trailblazers. Cierra had played 2 years varsity and 7 years of club with AAU. She is an excellent student earning a 3.6 grade point average and Academic All-State.

NCCAA Mid-East Region Tournament

OCU travels to Knoxville, Tennessee this weekend for the Mid-East Region Championship.

Lady Blazers Win Conference Championship

The Lady Blazers traveled to World Harvest Bible College this weekend for the Ohio Collegiate Athletic Conference (OCAC) Tournament.  On Friday, OCU (#1 seed) faced #4 seed World Harvest Bible College and won 71-52.  Freshman guard Dannyel Butte led the Trailblazers in scoring with 18 points and seven rebounds.

Softball 2010 Season Preview

The 2010 softball season looks to be a season of promise for the Trailblazer softball program. "Our softball program is now in its fourth year with the 2010 season being our first year as a varsity sport, so we still have a very young program," says Head Coach Emory Clark.

Lady Blazers Ranked #1 in Nation in Latest Poll

The NCCAA Women's Division II National rankings were released Tuesday afternoon, and the Ohio Christian University women's basketball team received the #1 ranking, tied with Kentucky Christian University, who the Lady Blazers defeated last week at home.  The Lady Blazers' #1 ranking is the first time any team at OCU has been recognized as the top team in the country in the rankings. <

Blazers Road Wins Finish Out Regular Season

The Trailblazers finished the regular season this weekend in Tennessee 2 and 0.  On Friday night the Blazers took on the Crown College in Powell, TN.  Crown came out with a lot of energy and their fans were very enthusiastic.  OCU's experience, depth and defensive intensity was just too much for the young Crown team with a final score of 92 - 57.  "Rebounding was key for us.

Blazers Win Final Season Home Game

It was the last home game of the year. It was senior night. There was a ten home game winning streak on the line. The two teams were playing for first place in the league. Where was this game being played? The Leadership Center of Ohio Christian University. The Trailblazers were taking on their league rivals Kentucky Christian University.

Lady Blazers Honor Seniors

On Tuesday, after the Lady Blazers defeated #1 ranked Kentucky Christian University and became regular season Mid-East Region Champions for the first time in the history of the program, OCU honored their seniors.  Brenda Carter and Brittany Martin have been an integral part of the success of the women's basketball program the last few years.

Brenda Carter joins 1000 point club

Senior All-American guard Brenda Carter became the second female member of the Trailblazer's 1000 point club last Tuesday at UC-Clermont.  Carter added 20 points on Thursday to bring her total to 1020 points with several games still left this season.  Carter joins an elite group of Trailblazer basketball players, including Jessie Gardner, the only other female in the group,
