OCAC Tournament Roundup

To begin the 2010 Ohio Collegiate Athletics Conference, Ohio Christian faced off against Southern State Community College.

The Trailblazers came out strong and put together a solid 3 set victory over the Patriots with scores 25-9, 25-17, 25-7.

Sophomore Linette Shetler  and Freshman Ashley Southard headed up the offense with 8 kills a piece. Read more »

OCU Women Fall, but Won't Back Down

Men's Soccer Stay on Top

OCU Men's Soccer win the Mid-East Regional Regular Season title for a 3rd straight year after beating both Appalachian Bible College,5-1 and Kentucky Christian Univ., 4-1 this past weekend. Read more »

OCU Volleyball Ends Regular Season with Win

The Ohio Christian University Women's Volleyball team completed its string of 5 matches in 5 days with a win and a 5 match record of 4-1. The Lady Trailblazers defeated the Patriots of Southern State Community College in 3 straight sets with scores of 25-18, 25-9, 25-16.

Sophomore Linette Shetler led the offensive charge with a season high 11 kills with a 50% hitting percentage. Read more »

Ohio Christian Upsets Clark State

The OCU Volleyball team pulled out a close road win over OCAC opponent Clark State Community College 15-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-23.

Five OCU hitters had 7 or more kills in the 4 set victory. Freshman Ashley Southard had a solid match with 10 kills and a 21% hitting percentage. Freshman Rachel Briggs chipped in 3 aces at critical moments in the match. Read more »

The OCU Women's Volleyball team downed the Warriors of Appalachian Bible College 25-9, 25-16, 25-17.

OCU's two middle hitters had near season high hitting percentages. Freshman Ashley Southard led the Trailblazers with 10 kills. Sophomore Linette Shetler chalked up 7 blocks in the win.

Cougars Edge Trailblazers

The OCU Trailblazers lost a tightly contested match in 4 sets to the Cougars of UC-Clermont 25-11, 23-25, 19-25, 24-26.

Freshman Ashley Southard led the team with 9 kills. Junior Kristen Uetrecht tallied 5 blocks and Freshman Tiffany Mosher had a season high 26 digs.

OCU Topples Appalachian Bible College

The Men Soccer team traveled to Mt. Hope, WV and defeated the Warriors of Appalachian Bible College 5-1.  The win places the OCU men with a 9-6-0 record.  In the region the move to 7-0-0 this season and 22-3-1 over the past 3 years.  Not bad seeing OCU was 7-50-1 before that mark in the region.
