Barton Receives Faith & Liberty Award
The Faith & Liberty Talk Show and Ohio Christian University’s School of Business & Government hosted best-selling author and political activist, David Barton in an all-day event. David Barton was honored by the national Faith & Liberty Talk Show and the Ohio Christian University Business & Government Department with the first Faith & Liberty Award. The Faith & Liberty Award is awarded to someone who has shown exceptional contributions in furthering faith, freedom, and liberty in the United States.
 
One national news organization has described David Barton as "America's historian," and Time Magazine called him "a hero to millions”. David Barton is also the founder and president of Wallbuilders, a national pro-family organization that presents America's forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on our moral, religious and constitutional heritage. He has appeared on numerous television shows and is a regular guest on the Glen Beck Show.
 
During the day, Barton spoke at four separate events to hundreds of students, faculty, staff, and citizens from across the region about the faith of the founders and the biblical principles that made this country great. David Barton has a massive library of one hundred thousand original writings from the Founding Era. He has been heavily involved in the development of the History/Social Studies standards for states such as Texas and California, and has helped produce history textbooks currently used in schools across the nation.
