OCU Hosts Candidate Forum

Ohio Christian University hosted a bipartisan Candidate Forum on October 9, 2012. The forum included many local and state candidates from the Democrat, Republican, and independent parties. Offices represented at the event included state senator, state representative, county commissioner, sheriff, county prosecutor, county treasurer, and clerk of courts.

The Candidate Forum was developed in conjunction with OCU’s new Government Relations major in order to give the students and the public an opportunity to be more informed about the candidates’ positions.

Each candidate was given a short time to explain their views and reasons for running for office, after which, Dr. Garrison, a former U.S. Congressional candidate, posed questions to each candidate specific for their office.
