Ohio Christian University Announces Candidate Forum
Ohio Christian University Chair of the Business & Government Department, Dr. David H. Garrison, announced that there would be a bipartisan Candidate Forum on October 9, 2012 at 6:30 P.M. The forum will be open to the public and will be held in the Maxwell Center at the university.
The Candidate Forum will include many local and state candidates from the Democrat, Republican, and independent parties including the offices of state senator, state representative, county commissioner, sheriff, county prosecutor, county treasurer, and clerk of courts. Additionally, representatives of U.S. Senate and U.S. Congress candidates have indicated they will attend.
The doors open at 6:00 P.M. for anyone who wants to visit with the various candidates and pickup materials. The forum will begin at 6:30 P.M.
The Candidate Forum was developed in conjunction with the new Government Relations major started at Ohio Christian University in order to give the students and the public an opportunity to be more informed about the various candidates’ positions.
Each candidate will be given a short time to explain their views and reasons for running for office, after which, Dr. Garrison, a former U.S. Congressional candidate himself, will pose questions to each candidate specific for their office.
