Hall and Room Accommodations

This contract guarantees each student the following in their room:

  1. Bed and Mattress
  2. Desk and Chair
  3. Ceiling Light (2 lamps per room provided for Terrace Hall)
  4. Dresser
  5. Clothes Rack
  6. Blinds

Each building is equipped with the following:

  1. Laundry Facilities (resident students only)
  2. Internet and Network Usage
  3. Heating/Air Conditioning
  4. Restroom and Shower Facilities
  5. Drinking Fountains

Private Rooms

Private rooms are typically not available at Ohio Christian University.  Students desiring a private room must make the request to the Coordinator of Resident Life and Housing.  Permission will be granted based on individual need, class rank, and available rooms.  Those who are granted a private room will be charged an additional fee for each semester.

Fee

The housing fee is $2,019 per semester.

Terms

Room and board refund policy: Week one 100%, week two 80%, no refunds after the 14th (add/drop date).

The student is not permitted to make any permanent modifications to the room.  At the end of the semester or year (whichever is applicable), all furniture must be returned to the room and properly assembled, have no damages, and all paperwork completed.

Student Housing Survey

In order to better prepare for your 1st year at OCU, the Housing Department requests that you complete this survey to pair you with a roommate that will enhance your Residence Life experience.

Meals

All on campus resident students are required to participate in the University Meal Plan

  1. Terrace Hall residents (female housing) can opt out of a meal plan.
  2. Townhouse 2 (male housing) can opt out of a meal plan.
  3. There will be no credit given for missed meals including schedule conflict.
  4. Meal plan options based on academic class (credit hour completed).
  5. Only 1 meal swipe can be used per meal period. Additional swipes result in a deduction of Blazer Bucks.
Contractual Agreement

Terms

Official housing assignments will be available the first week of August.

Once roommate assignments are officially communicated by the Coordinator of Residence Life and Housing changes cannot be made until the following semester.

The Coordinator of Residence Life and Housing reserves the right to make changes to roommates after housing assignments are communicated to students.

Freshman typically placed in Moore Hall (female) and York Hall (male) – the Coordinator of Residence Life may make exceptions and Housing based upon the number of beds available.

Students are not guaranteed a specific hall, room, or roommate.

If space allows, transfer students are placed in upperclassman dorms.

Students who do not turn 18 years of age within their first semester of traditional classes are not permitted to live in the residence halls.

I hereby enter into this contract with Ohio Christian University for one full semester. I further understand that all Student Handbook regulations for Residence Hall living apply.
