The CLEP program provides students the opportunity to earn college credit by passing examinations. CLEP exams are given on Friday mornings at 9:00 a.m, and must be scheduled in Advance. *OCU does not offer the DANTE exam.
The current fee for the CLEP exam is $80 (payable online) or you can make a check payable to CLEP. An additional fee of $50 will be applied to Administer the exam. This can be made by cash or check, or current OCU students may apply this to their student bill.

How do I receive my scores?
As CLEP examinations are computer-based, where scores are received instantly, with the exeption of examinations featuring a writing component. (Except for English, Spanish & French: May take up to 6 weeks to receive your score.)

Does OCU offer the DANTES (Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support?
Unfortunately, OCU is not able to offer the DANTES test to individuals.
On the multiple choice section, is there a penalty for guessing an answer?
No, the multiple choice portions of the CLEP exams use rights-only scoring. There are no penalties for wrong answers.
Is there a waiting period for retaking a CLEP exam?
Yes, the waiting period is six months. You may not repeat an exam of the same title within six months of the initial testing date. If you retake the exam within the six-month period, it will be considered invalid, your score will be canceled and any test fees will be forfeited.
What study resources are available to prepare for a CLEP exam?
CLEP offers the CLEP Official Study Guide available for purchase on their website. It includes practice questions for all exams, exam descriptions, information on getting credit for CLEP and test-taking tips and strategies. www.collegeboard.org
