Dr. Juliette Madrigal-Dersch
Dr. Madrigal is the current President of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Madrigal has been a frequent guest on a number of media outlets such as Fox News, the Neil Cavuto Show, NBC News, and town hall meetings, as well as consultant to political candidates, various levels of office holders, and U.S. Congress on medical issues and particularly on the Affordable Health Care Act, i.e., Obamacare. She is considered an expert on the impacts on physician services due to Obamacare and the reforms that would lower the cost of healthcare in the United States.
She is a graduate of the University of Texas, Austin, Texas A&M Medical School, and Chief Resident at Oklahoma University of Medicine. She started her own traditional medical practice in 1992 in Marble Falls, Texas. She makes house calls and gives discounts to teachers and preachers and sees patients who have cancer for free. She has spent many of past summers as a Camp Doctor at Camp Longhorn and Camp Champions. She is currently the Burnet County Health Authority and Medical Director of the Horseshoe Bay Spicewood, and Marble Falls Fire Departments.
Dr. Madrigal is married to Hans Dersch, 1992 U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist and coach to a number of Olympic class swimmers. They have two children ages 13 and 15.
