Trailblazers Pull Off Comeback Win Against Rival CCU

The Ohio Christian men’s basketball team had a much needed win tonight against Cincinnati Christian University with a score of 80 to 79. The game was won with a last second shot by junior point guard Rickshontae Spell. The Trailblazers started the game slow by missing their first eight shots and getting down twelve to nothing.

OCU Women Defeat #10 Ranked Cincinnati Christian

The OCU women's basketball team won 80-79 on Tuesday in a thriller over the 10th ranked Lady Eagles from CCU. The Lady Blazers took an eleven point lead in the first half, but the Lady Eagles fought back, tying the game late in the second half. The game was sealed on a basket by sophomore forward Angela Thorne in the last minute of the game.

Emory Clark Named Head Softball Coach at Ohio Christian University

The Ohio Christian University athletics department has named Emory Clark, as the new head coach for its Lady Trailblazer fast-pitch softball program. Clark is an alumnus of Circleville Bible College, now Ohio Christian University. He has spent many years coaching softball at various levels from youth league to high school.

Lady Blazers Lose Heartbreaker to OUC

The OCU women's basketball team lost to OU-Chillicothe last night (58-66). The Lady Blazers were hot shooting in the first half, taking a 29-19 lead at halftime. But the Lady Hilltoppers fought back and tied the game mid-way through the second half.

Lady Trailblazers Defeat Southern State in Comeback Thriller

The OCU women's basketball team advanced its record to 4-1 on Friday night when they traveled to Southern State Community College to defeat the Lady Patriots 76-72 in a come-from-behind victory. Junior guard Brenda Carter led all scorers with 30 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals. Junior point guard Ande Renihan tallied a triple double with 11 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists.

OCU Lady Blazers Defeat Wright State-Lake 75-26

The OCU women's basketball team defeated the Lakers of Wright State-Lake on Tuesday night in Celina, Ohio. The Lady Blazers used a full court press to take an early lead and didn't look back. OCU had 29 steals for the game, and forced the Lakers into 39 turnovers overall. Everyone contributed offensively, with 9 players scoring.

Lady Trailblazers Overcome First Half Deficit to Win 73-71

The OCU women's basketball team came back from a ten point deficit early in the second half to defeat Wright Patterson Air Force Base on Saturday. Junior guard Brenda Carter led the Blazers with 30 points, on 12 of 19 shooting from the field. Junior point guard Ande Renihan added 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals.

Men's Basketball Opens Season with Tip-off Classic

The Trailblazers had a slow start to their much anticipated season this weekend. The blazers fell to a very athletic World Harvest on Friday night seventy five to sixty nine. Junior point guard Rickshontae Spell led the Blazers with twenty four points, three boards and two steals. Sophomore guard Tim Baker added fourteen points four assists and two steels.

Lady Blazers Down Valley Forge Christian

The OCU women's basketball team hosted the 2nd Annual Tip-off Classic over the weekend. Junior forward Rosalyn Fleming had the hot hand Friday night as Ohio Christian took on Ohio University-Lancaster, hitting a career high five 3 pointers and totaling 19 points.
