Baseball Ends Season Fourth in the Nation

MASON, Ohio - Senior right-hander Michael Blevins came into the game in the fourth inning to relieve Christian Lee, trying to rally the Blazers back from a 6-1 deficit. The team pulled together, but fell short of continuing their National Title run.

Clearwater jumped up early on the Blazers in the first inning. The Cougars scored five runs in the first, and one in the third, putting them up 6-0.

This didn't stop the Blazers from rallying back. Ryan Black scored in the third with a hit from Stefan Vasiloff, making it a 6-1 game. Adam Peters then added to the Trailblazers score with an RBI from Ronnie Goodwin in the fourth.

The Blazers were not finished there. With the score 7-2 in the fifth inning, Stefan Vasiloff would hit a big double, scoring one RBI, and then another run would score off of errors from the Cougars. Max Ray hit a shot up the middle to get in one run, bringing the score to 7-5 in the fifth.

The Cougars would then score one in the sixth to add to the lead. With that one run in the sixth, it put Clearwater in position to finish the game with the final score 8-5.

Christian Lee started on the mound for the Blazers. Struggling to get things going, Lee would only pitch three innings, allowing nine hits and six runs.

Vasiloff had two hits bringing in one RBI. Kelton Sines and Adam Peters had two hits each as well.
