Mike Miller Signs with Trailblazer Baseball
Ohio Christian University head baseball coach Greg Bigam is pleased to announce the addition of Mike Miller to the Trailblazers baseball program. Miller comes to OCU after a stellar prep career at Madison Christian School in Groveport, Ohio where he played for his father, Coach Mike Miller Sr.
Miller was a starting pitcher and infielder for the Eagles during his high school career. During his senior year he posted a team high batting average of .448 while also knocking in a team high 19 RBI's. On the mound he was also a force for the Eagles as he posted an ERA of 2.64 during his senior year. He also struck out an amazing 64 batters in 45 innings pitched.
For his success on the diamond Miller was honored as the 2011 MOCAL Conference Player of the Year. He also graduates from Madison Christian as a two time All-District Selection and three time All-Conference 1st Team selection. As a 2011 District All-Star, Miller put on a show at the District All-Star game where he launched a home run over the left field fence while competing against the best talent in the area.
"I chose OCU because it is a smaller university and it felt more like a family," said Miller. "I hope to become a better leader on and off the field in my time at OCU while always glorifying God in my play."
Miller joins a very talented recruiting class for the men's baseball program that is eyeing their first national championship in program history. The OCU baseball team reached the NCCAA World Series in 2011 where they finished in 4th place nationally.
