OCU Baseball Improves Record with Win Over OU-Lancaster

Today was a good day for OCU baseball with a win over the Cougars of Ohio University - Lancaster. The Blazers brought their bats out to rally a 14-4 win. The 13 hits that the Blazers produced included 3 doubles off the fence and two big home runs.

Michael Blevins led the offense with 3 hits and 3 RBI's with a double and his first home run of the year. Max Ray knocked over his first home run of the year along with a single. Ryan Black and Stefan Vasiloff had two hits each, and Christian Lee added a double and 2 RBI's in his first offensive start of the season. Preston Vest and Kelton Sines also batted in 2 RBI's a piece.

Logan Creech picked up the win going 5 innings and giving up 4 runs. Blevins closed the game pitching in the final inning.

The Blazers were ranked 2nd in the nation in the NCCAA DII last week and continue their play against UC-Clermont in a doubleheader this coming Thursday, April 21, 2011.
