Trevor Whitesed Joins Trailblazer Baseball
The Ohio Christian University athletic department is pleased to announce the addition of Trevor Whitesed to the men's baseball team. Whitesed comes to OCU after enjoying a successful prep career at Logan Elm High School.
Whitesed will be a key addition to the roster as the Blazers look to add strong arms and depth to the pitching rotation. While at Logan Elm, Whitesed excelled on the mound and at 3rd base for the Braves. He was honored as the Defensive Player of the Year for his standout play at 3rd base. He was also honored with the Logan Elm Sportmanship and Integrity Award. Whitesed was a key member of the 2010 Logan Elm team that won the District Championship as they made a memorable playoff run to close the season.
"I chose OCU because it is close to home and the school provides one on one attention to help students succeed," said Whitesed. "It is also my goal to be a part of a National Championship baseball team and I think we have an opportunity of accomplishing that this year."
Whitesed joins a reloaded OCU baseball team that took 4th place at the NCCAA World Series in 2011. With a solid core of returning players and a new crop of talented incoming recruits, the future is very bright for OCU baseball.
