Blazers Win 91-64 Against Southern State

Ohio Christian University Trailblazers get nice win against Southern State Tuesday night 91-64. Last week the Blazers fell to #5 Kentucky Christian University and #1 Grace Bible. "We had the toughest week of the season last week and needed a good win to get spirits back up," said Coach Christopher. "We saw some things that we can improve on last week before tournament time and have time to fix them."

Tirrell Cumberland got to play in front of a home town crowd last night. Tirrell set scoring records at Hillsboro High School and is all time leading scorer for Southern State the two years he played there. "It was interesting to go into their gym and see pictures of Tirrell on their walls when he is one of us now. I am glad he is on my side of the court." Tirrell lead all scores with 26. He shot 4 for 7 from three point land and 9 for 15 from the field. He also added 4 assists and 4 steals. Forward Jeremy Hays had 17 points and 10 rebounds. Center Mike Baker had 12 points and 9 rebounds.

The Trailblazers hit the road on Friday heading to Tennessee to play Johnson Bible College and Crown College on Saturday.
