Coach Christopher Hires Two New Coaches

Trailblazers Head Basketball Coach Curtis Christopher adds two new assistant coaches to his coaching staff for the 2010-11 basketball season.

Among the additions, is recent OCU graduate Stefan Vasiloff who will take over the JV program this year. Stefan was a two time All-American and a three time Academic All-American for the Trailblazers. While playing for the Trailblazers, he helped lead the program to three national appearances. He was fourth all time leading scorer and holds the record for all time leading three point percentages. Stefan is married to wife Katie and resides in Circleville. He is currently working towards his master's degree at OCU. Coach Christopher states, "I am very happy to have Stefan on the coaching staff this year. I have a lot invested in him and want to see him continue to grow and lead other young athletes in the same way.

Also joining the ranks is Damon Baker, who came to OCU in 1992 as a student athlete from a Kentucky junior college. In the two years that Damon played for OCU, he was named a two time All-American and became the eighth leading scorer in OCU history. Damon helped lead his 1993 team to the National Tournament. After graduating from OCU, Damon remained in the Circleville area and is employed at the Defense Supply Center in Columbus. Damon is married to wife Ursula and has two boys, Braylen and Landen. "I  have known Damon for over 12 years on and off the basketball court. He is a wonderful Christian husband and father who just so happens to know a little about basketball. I am excited about him helping this year as a varsity assistant. He will bring a wealth of experience and mentorship to the young men of our program," adds Coach Christopher.
