Trailblazers Go 1-1 in Kentucky
The Ohio Christian University men's basketball team went 1-1 over the weekend with a 93-89 win over Union College and a 91-82 loss to host Asbury University.
Tirrell Cumberland led the Trailblazers against Union with 25 points and six rebounds. Brandon Byars collected 17 points and seven rebounds, Tim Baker scored 15 points, Deshawn Knighten accounted for 11 points and seven assists and Jeremy Hays also scored 11 points.
Against Asbury, the Trailblazers struggled from three-point land making 5 of 23 attempts.
OCU trailed 49-27 at halftime, but tried to make a comeback in the second half, outscoring Asbury 55-42.
Byars paced Ohio Christian with a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds. Cumberland scored 15 points, Knighten had 12 points and Herbert Terry and Tim Baker each added 11 points.
The Trailblazers, now 8-5, travel to OSU-Marion on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 2:00pm.
