Trailblazers Sign Logan Elm's Nathan Elswick

The summer entering into his senior season, Nathan Elswick had decisions to make, decisions as to what to do after his high school career was over. As a student at Logan Elm High School, Nathan would consider Ohio Christian University as his college to attend. Getting to know the coach and having some interaction with the players, along with the recent success of the program, would help in his decision to sign with the Trailblazers of Ohio Christian.

"Coach Christopher has had success lately, and his personality and coaching style is what made this decision easy. There are a number of other reasons why I wanted to attend OCU, but that was a big one," says Elswick. "They are also a program that has had success at getting to a national tournament level, and they are going places because they're bringing in a lot of good recruits."

"Nathan comes from a good basketball program which gives him an advantage coming into our program mentally. Nathan is a 6'5" guard/forward who can shoot the three-ball well," Curtis said. "This is an asset to any program. We will work with Nathan's speed and strength but feel that he has a lot of potential."

Curtis comments, "Nathan comes from a winning program in Logan Elm. I have found that this is an important ingredient in becoming a national contending team year in and year out. You have to have kids who know how to win. We have a very tight family unit in our team and Nathan already fits in with the group of guys."
