OCU Men's Soccer Sign Two Captains from Bloom Carroll

A day that has been long awaited by Coach Josh Murton came on March 30th.  Two players from Bloom Carroll High School signed to play at OCU, both of which play for Coach Murton on their club team, Pride S.C.  The day also marked the first BCHS soccer players to be signed to OCU and a first in OCU signing players who compete in the Buckeye Premier Youth Soccer League.

Trevor Kackley played 3 years of varsity for Bloom Carroll and was a captain on the Regional Champions this past season.  Trevor also has been a starter for Pride S.C. for the past two years, which Coach Murton has seen tremendous growth.  "Trevor wasn't a starter for us early on, but last year he really improved and we started to see him grow more confident with his game.  Trevor is a light hearted kid but plays with a lot of passion.  He is a team player and does what ever the team needs.  I am so proud to have him come to OCU and I am extremely excited to be able to watch him grow more in the next 4 years", mentioned Coach Murton.  Trevor will major in Youth Ministries.

Caleb Williams is a legacy.  His father graduated from Circleville Bible College in the early 90's.  Caleb too was a captain on the Bloom Carroll Regional Champions.  He has also been a captain on the Pride S.C. team for the past 4 years.  Caleb, a smart soccer mind, has a drive and love for the game.  "Caleb is a serious player.  He wants to see this program to continue to grow and he will come in and help see us to it.  A great kid who I am also extremely excited to have on board here and one who might someday take my job!" Murton said jokingly.  "He's a leader and is a player who will help us in many facets".  Caleb will major in either Business or education.

OCU now has 4 new players coming in for the 2011 season on a National Finalist team which only looses 2 seniors.  "We are having a great off season right now.  There are a few more we are waiting for paperwork to go through but this class will be very strong", elaborated Coach Murton.  The men open up 2011 at Asbury University on August 26 at 7pm.
