OCU Signs Sam Stauffer from Fairfield High

Sam Stauffer from Fairfield High School signs with OCU to play soccer for the Trailblazers. Sam has been a Captain all four years in high school, adding leadership to this team in the upcoming season. Sam also adds club experience, playing at the First Capital Football Club which competes in the Buckeye Premier Youth Soccer League. In his junior and senior year, Sam won Team Offensive Player of the Year.

Other Accomplishments:
Freshman: Southern Hills League Honorable Mention
Sophomore: Southern Hills League 2nd Team, 2nd Team All-District
Junior & Senior: Southern Hills League 1st Team, 1st Team All-District

Coach Murton comments, "Sam is not a flash player, but he is very consistent and is someone who will play a big part in the future of this program. He has a soft touch and is a proven leader. He is playing at a high level which will serve him well when the season starts. We are very excited to have him on board and look to see him grow with this program."

The men open up the 2011 season at Asbury University on August 26 at 7pm.
