OCU Soccer Teams Lose to NAIA Foe

The men's and women's soccer teams fell to Shawnee State University today.  The women had their first meeting against SSU and lost 0-6. "We played the first half a lot better than the second half," mentioned Coach Murton.  "We had a couple looks at goal but just couldn't capitalize on them.  We're getting better and better as each week passes", Murton added.

The men lost 1-2 in a close fought battle.  The loss gives OCU an 0-4-0 record against Shawnee State.  "We possessed the ball very well today and missed out on some excellent opportunities, which we paid for.  We know we're a solid team because of how we play and how we are competing against historically better teams.  The loss is just a tough one to swallow because we had the opportunities to win." mentioned Coach Murton.

The losses send the men to a 4-3-0 record and the women to a 2-6-0 record.

The women and men next play on Friday at Grace Bible College and then will play Northland International University on Saturday at GBC.  The men's game looks to bring some national attention since NIU is #3 and OCU is #8.
