Religion & Ministry

Welcome, and thank you so much for considering a degree in Ministry from Ohio Christian University. Whether you feel called to pastoral ministry, student ministry, church planting, counseling or academia, we will help you select a program that matches your gifts and prepares you to be a leader where your journey takes you. Our prayer over the next several years is to produce one thousand Christian leaders who are both Biblically and theologically sound, but more importantly love Jesus and others enough to adapt ministry to reach our 21st century world.

Our students graduate prepared to engage their culture with a sharpened mind, and evangelistic focus, and a heart warm toward God and others.

As a Religion major, it's our duty for you to:

  • Exhibit God's Word and demonstrate its relevance to problems, needs, and issues of today
  • Show proficiency in communicating the Word of God through sound Biblical preaching
  • Engage in ministry as a pastor or evangelist, or continue studies at a graduate level.
  • Meet the educational qualifications to fulfill the office of a pastor or evangelist.

If you feel God leading you into a life of service in ministry,
Ohio Christian University is ready to help prepare you!
