OCU Music Students Perform a Splendid Evening of Beautiful Chamber Music

Ohio Christian University Department of Music hosted their spring Chamber Concert on February 27, 2014 at 7 p.m. in Detty Chapel.

Featured on the concert program were the Chamber Singers directed by Dr. Dione Bennett, the Chamber Winds coached by Dr. Adrienne Marshall, and the Chamber Strings coached by Mrs. Linda Stieg.

The Chamber Singers opened the program with a beautiful rendition of “I am His Child” by Michael Hogan. Their final selection was a humorous “One Minute Madrigal” by Donald Moore; the entire piece was sung in less than one minute.

Chamber Winds clarinetists, Alyse Copeland and Andrew Compton, performed Felix Mendelssohn’s Concertpiece, No. 2, Opus 114 for two clarinets and piano. They were joined by guest pianist, Jiung Yoon.

Two Sonatas by Giovanni Tartini performed by the Chamber Strings concluded the concert.
