MBA Student Values Faith in Learning

At Ohio Christian University, we take much pride in our students and their success, so the academic quality we produce to get them there is a huge priority to us.

These academic priorities are evident to OCU student, Jalinda Wilson. With an undergrad degree under her belt, Jalinda transferred from a secular college to OCU and joined our MBA program.

She says, “What I like the best about attending OCU is that I am getting a quality education with a Christian perspective.  My undergrad was done at a secular college and in many of the classes, I felt persecuted and discriminated against because of my Christian beliefs.  OCU has a learning environment that is encouraging and supportive, no matter where you are spiritually in life.”

One of OCU’s core values is a Christ-centered community and staff that seeks to honor and obey Jesus Christ. We also provide a Biblically-based academic and student development programs that cultivate a deep and enduring faith. On this topic, Jalinda shared, “All of the professors that I have had so far have impacted my life in one way or another. I love how they care about you, and you are just not another face in the classroom. Also, many of them have made me think outside the box— especially when it comes to the scriptures and my walk in Christ.”

Jalinda also expressed that the program’s convenient “one night a week format” was very beneficial to her. “I am focusing on that one class, instead of three or more at a time.”

At Ohio Christian University, your life-commitments matter to us and we always take your schedule into account. Jalinda says that she enjoyed the program’s flexibility so she could still work a full time job along with being able to attend school and get her homework done.

As a current college student, Jalinda has some advice for prospective students. “If you are thinking about going back to school, you should choose OCU.  It is convenient, and once you do it, you will be happy that you did!”
