Kelsey Cutright Mentoring Student

Oct. 9 - Workshop on Applying for Jobs and Preparing for Interviews!

OCU’s Career Services has revamped its workshop on applying for jobs and preparing for job interviews to best serve students’ needs for developing and refining their skills for finding and preparing to interview for internships, part-time, full-time, and post-graduation jobs.

On October 9th from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, in the Maxwell Center’s EC classroom, Career Services Director Kelsey Cutright will conduct a hands-on workshop for crafting resumes and cover letters.  She will also provide an overview of etiquette for successful interviewing, including how to dress, what questions to expect and have good answers for, as well as what questions to have ready to ask potential employers.  Participants can arrange for one-on-one mock interview sessions, compensation negotiation coaching, and for advice and guidance for finding best job match-ups, such as knowing when to accept an offer or continue looking for a better match.

Career Services is the place to find out what you need to know to advance your career.  For example, Simplicity is an online job and resume posting service available for students to post their resumes and find work opportunities with greater Circleville and Columbus areas that have been posted by OCU’s corporate and non-profit partners, as well as by organizations where OCU alumni are employed.  Kelsey will explain how to set up an account, post your resume, and find jobs that match your interests and needs.
