The First Annual Trunk-or-Treat!

On October 29th OCU's Small Group Ministry hosted its first ever "Trunk or Treat" community outreach. Over 20 cars were decorated for the occasion, with approximately 70 volunteers from the OCU staff, University Church and the student body. The overwhelming response of the community was evident with an attendance exceeding 1,000 guests. The festivities included trick or treating (at the trunks of the decorated cars), crafts, games, and home made chili. One guest spoke to us with a thankful heart that she was able to bring her children to a safe and welcoming place. "It was a blessing," she said. Many others have expressed their enthusiastic anticipation for next year’s event. Our goal as a ministry was to serve our community, and express to them the love and joy of Christ. By working together we feel we accomplished our goal, along with the Lord's great blessing of good weather! I'd like to send a special THANK YOU out to all those who gave of their time to make this happen! Looking forward to an even bigger and better event next year.
