The OCU women's basketball team traveled down the road to Valor Christian College on Monday night for an OCAC (Ohio Collegiate Athletic Conference) match-up with the Lady Warriors. OCU was able to use its full court pressure defense and transition game to wear down the Lady Warriors, jumping to a 37-18 first half lead. It was more of the same in the second half, and OCU won by a final score of 82-52. Freshman guard Kaity Wyeth led the Lady Blazers with 28 points, while senior guard finished with 18 points.
The win advanced the OCU women to 6-1 in the OCAC, and 22-4 overall. The Lady Trailblazers (#1 ranking in NCCAA National poll) host UC-Clermont (#8 ranking in USCAA National poll) on Wednesday at 6pm. Clermont is currently undefeated in the OCAC and defeated the Lady Blazers earlier this season.
