Lady Trailblazers Fall in Double OT to Defending National Champs

The OCU women's basketball team traveled to NCCAA defending National Champions Kentucky Christian University on Tuesday and fell short in double overtime (77-74). Junior Brenda Carter led all scorers with 29 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 steals. Junior point guard Ande Renihan dished out 6 assists and added 11 points and 7 rebounds. Junior Rosalyn Fleming added 15 points and 8 eounds, while Angela Thorne chipped in 13 points and 6 boards, 5 assists, and 6 steals for the Lady Blazers. OCU had leads in both overtimes, but were forcedd to finish the game without Renihan or Carter, who had both fouled out. "I was very proud of the way our girls played tonight," said Head Coach Mandy Wray, "we played our hearts out and never quit. KCU is a very good team, and there's a reason they're the defending National Champs."
