Lady Trailblazers Volleyball Tops the Mavericks

The Ohio Christian University Women's Volleyball team tallied their second win of the season against OSU-Mansfield with scores of 25-17, 13-25, 25-17, 13-25, 15-6.

"There were several bright spots in tonight's match," said Head Coach Wes Brothers. "The team is playing more as one unit on the court, reading offensive attacks and getting quicker on transitions. Communication waned, but at times was the best that I have seen up to this early part of our season."

Ohio Christian University Women's volleyball has an overall record of 2-0 and a NCCAA MidEast Region record of 1-0.

Junior Marissa Tackett led Ohio Christian with 22 kills and 5 blocks. Freshman Hillary Stump earned 7 kills and Freshman Linette Shetler chipped in 5 aces.

Ohio Christian Volleyball's next home match is Friday, September 11th at 7 pm versus Johnson Bible College. Saturday, September 12th, the Lady Trailblazers play the Crown College at 2 pm and UC-Clermont at 5 pm.
