Men's Soccer Win in OT

The Ohio Christian Men's Soccer program continued to make progress in the '08 campaign by beating Appalachian Bible College 1-0 in an exciting finish to a tough fought game. The Trailblazers (6-0-0) controlled the ball much throughout the game but could not find a goal against a tough, spirited ABC defense. "They played hard and came to win. My hat goes off to them", mentioned Coach Murton. Appalachian Bible College goes to 0-5-0 and 0-3-0 in the region. "It just shows how competitive the region is. We are on top of the region and they ignored all that and came to play", added Coach Murton.

The win places OCU #1 in the region with a 4-0-0 record in the region, and places OCU as 1 of only 2 teams in the Nation that are undefeated in the NCCAA D2. When asked about the turn around, Coach Murton added, "I hope we're not sitting on what we've accomplished. We enjoy the fruits of our labor after the season is done, not while it is still going."

The OCU men play home again on Friday against NAIA foe St. Catherine College at 2 PM.
