OCU Homecoming Celebrates Nine Years of Building Community

Homecoming at Ohio Christian University, is a time for students, faculty, and alumni to gather together to celebrate the new school year and welcome the next generation of leaders into the OCU family. This year, nearly 1,000 students, alumni, family, staff, and friends attended Ohio Christian’s 9th annual Homecoming celebrations.

At OCU, Homecoming celebrations focus on bonds forged and connections remembered; students and alumni mingle together as the past, present, and future of the university community. This year’s Homecoming featured more than a dozen events including the Linking Legacies Golf Tournament, Josias Rodriguez 5k, Legacy Chapel, Torch Run and Bonfire, Alumni Baseball game, FNL Reunion, and Alumni and Friends picnic.

More than $25,000 was raised to further Ohio Christian’s mission at the Linking Legacies Golf Tournament, where 136 golfers in 34 teams competed for prizes and bragging rights. The 3rd annual Josias Rodriguez 5k Run and Walk brought in nearly 200 participants on Saturday morning, which in turn raised hundreds of dollars for the Josias Rodriguez Ministry Scholarship Fund.

If you missed out on the Linking Legacies Golf Tournament, or if you simply want to get away from the cold this winter, join Ohio Christian University in Florida for our Linking Legacies Florida Golf Classic in sunny Orlando February 4-6, 2016. For more information, click here.
