OCU Men Lose First Regional Game

The OCU men fell for the first time in the region to a spirited Crown College team 0-2 on Saturday Oct. 4th. "This was a big game for us," mentioned Crown Head Coach Shannon Sexton. He went on by saying, "OCU being ranked #3 in the nation and beating them is a big deal." OCU was down 0-1 at half for only the second time this season, but also for the second time this road trip. "We are not used to giving up an early lead. We have only given up 3 goals in the first half all season. Yesterday we responded well against Johnson, but today was a different story", mentioned Coach Murton. Crown made the score 0-2 in the 54th minute and held on to the victory. "We are still #1 in the region, but the way we lost gives a bad taste to my mouth. We need to come in on Monday and be ready to step it up," added Coach Murton.

The OCU Men still hold on to the #1 ranking in the region because of the cushion they have created between them and their opponents. Here are the rankings,

1. Ohio Christian  5-1-0  15 Pts
2. Kentucky Christian  4-2-0  12 Pts
3. Crown College  3-3-0  12 Pts
4. Johnson Bible  2-3-0  6 Pts
5. Appalachian Bible  1-5-0  3 Pts
