OCU Volleyball Begins Season with Win

Lady Trailblazers defeated the Warriors of Appalachian Bible College 20-25, 25-13, 28-26, 25-18.

"Playing the Warriors on the road is always a challenge," said Head Coach Wes Brothers. "The team showed improvement over the course of the match, however, we will need to focus on reducing our unforced errors."

The third set saw the Trailblazers down at one point 20-23. Following an OCU timeout, the team rallied to a tie and saw several lead changes until the final score of 28-26 was reached.

Ohio Christian University Women's volleyball has a record of 1-0 and a NCCAA MidEast Region record of 1-0.

Junior Marissa Tackett led Ohio Christian with 17 kills. Freshman Linette Shetler had 6 kills and 3 aces.

Ohio Christian Volleyball's next home match is Friday, September 11th at 7 pm versus Johnson Bible College. Saturday, September 12th, the Lady Trailblazers play the Crown College at 2 pm and UC-Clermont at 5 pm.
