OCU Women Defeat #10 Ranked Cincinnati Christian

The OCU women's basketball team won 80-79 on Tuesday in a thriller over the 10th ranked Lady Eagles from CCU. The Lady Blazers took an eleven point lead in the first half, but the Lady Eagles fought back, tying the game late in the second half. The game was sealed on a basket by sophomore forward Angela Thorne in the last minute of the game. OCU forced CCU into 27 turnovers and converted many of them into lay-ups in transition.
Ohio Christian was led by junior guard Brenda Carter with 31 points, while junior point guard Ande Renihan added 17 points, 10 assists, and 9 rebounds. Junior forward Rosalyn Fleming also tallied a double-double with 10 rebounds and 12 points. The Lady Eagles were led by Tiarra Hopson's 20 points.
The Lady Blazers will next travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan for the Grace Bible College Christmas Tournament on December 12-13.
