OCU Women win 2nd game

Women's soccer at OCU is in it's infancy, but one wouldn't know that with how they are playing soccer.  On Friday, October 16th the OCU women beat Johnson Bible College 3-0 solidifying a 2nd seed in the Mid-East Regional Tournament.  "We are getting better each day.  We have some girls who know the game and played for a long time who we rely on, but some of the more "green" girls are stepping up and it's making us a better team" Coach Murton said.

Scoring for OCU was Elena Vluegels who scored 2, one of which came from a cross from Sarah Peters.  "It was a pretty goal.  Cross and one touch, and that is about as pretty as it gets" elaborated Murton.  Sarah Peters also scored her 2nd goal of the year.  Kyla Keaton made 5 saves at goal keeper to hold onto OCU's second clean sheet this season.

Next up for OCU is Malone College on Thursday, October 22nd at 4pm here at OCU.
