OCU Women's Basketball Sign Standout Guard Shelby Roe

Shelby Roe, a standout shooting guard from Middletown Madison High School, signer her letter of intent to play basketball for OCU next season. Shelby finished her high school career second on the school's all-time scoring list, only three points shy of being the all-time leading scorer in school history. She holds Madison High School's record for career 3 pointers (112), 3 pointers in a season (43), and in a single game (7). Roe also received All-League and All-District honors, for the second straight season, leading her team to the Regional Finals this season.

Head Coach Mandy Wray said, "We are very excited to have Shelby here next year. She will help us tremendously with her 3 point shooting ability and overall basketball knowledge. I look forward to working with her and seeing her accomplish great things for us." Shelby is OCU's first signing of the off-season, but Coach Wray plans on more to come. "We have been working hard in recruiting this year. I am excited to see a few more quality players sign for us soon."
