OCU Women's Soccer Win 1st game in History
In a day of firsts for OCU, the women trailblazers defeated nationally ranked Kentucky Christian (no. 7 in the nation) 1-0 in double overtime. 40 seconds into the second overtime, Sarah Peters sent a ball through the KCU defense and Liesi South ran onto the ball, beat a defender and shot the ball. The ball went across the mouth of the goal, hit the far post and went in. "WOW! What a great feeling. These women have been through a lot and to win in this fashion is just great" mentioned Coach Josh Murton.
The win has OCU now at 1-1-1 record and a shot at the 2nd seed in the mid-east region. They play next against Johnson Bible College on Friday, October 16 at 2PM.
