OCU Students Serve During Community Action Day

On Wednesday, April 5th, approximately 500 students from Ohio Christian University took park in the Ralph C. Starkey Community Action Day. This year marked the 17th year of the community service event coordinated by OCU.

Teams of volunteers scattered throughout Pickaway County to do inside and outside chores at 40 sites, including residential homes, churches, libraries, parks and along roadsides. Various tasks included painting, washing windows, raking, mulching, cutting brush, general landscaping, indoor cleaning and some gardening.

After the service projects were completed, the students had some fun at a Block Party featuring a cookout, inflatable body bumpers, corn hole, sand volleyball and more.
