Trailblazer Academy Hosts Ohio High School Counselors

OCU’s Trailblazer Academy served breakfast to 26 high school counselors from across Ohio in OCU’s new Robert Plaster Free Enterprise Center recently.  This breakfast expressed OCU’s appreciation for and support of high school counselors and administrators who work with the College Credit Plus program.

Dr. Larisa Harper, Director of College Credit Plus (CCP) for the Ohio Department of Higher Education, briefed attendees on CCP program changes resulting from House Budget Bill 49 and suggested ways to implement the changes.

Beth Ash, Trailblazer Academy Academic Director, and Jason Dennis, Associate Director of Enrollment Services, held breakout sessions to share program admissions process updates and to answer questions.  They offered support and preparation for the required high school CCP informational meetings and 2018-2019 school year application season.

Trailblazer Academy is OCU’s College Credit Plus program.  It offers college courses to high school students during the academic school year.  The Academy offers these courses to students during their school day at several partner schools, online, and on OCU’s main campus.
