OCU Athletics Represented on NAIA National Selection Committee

This Fall, the Ohio Christian University Athletic Department had the unique opportunity to be represented on the Division I Men’s Soccer National Selection Committee. Representing the Trailblazers was Athletic Director David Bireline who is in second year with the institution. The NAIA appoints 10 members from around the country who are responsible to select and seed all 32 finalists for the men’s national tournament.

“Being able to represent Ohio Christian on the national level is a huge blessing and a great opportunity to promote and grow our intercollegiate athletic program,” said Bireline. “The goal is that this will help us continue to gain respect within the NAIA as we grow as an institution.”

The DI Men’s Soccer National Tournament was held November 27th through December 2nd at Seacrest Soccer Complex in Delray Beach, FL. Wayland Baptist (Texas) took home the 2017 title in a double overtime victory over Missouri Valley.
