The Trailblazers of Ohio Christian University traveled to Grayson Kentucky Tuesday night to play rival Kentucky Christian. The Blazers started slow trailing by 5 in the first few minutes of the game. The offense then got going and by the five minute mark took the lead. The Blazers lead from then on until late in the second half. The Knights of Kentucky led by Kalen Jones, who finished with 25 points, fought back late in the game to to be down by one point with 20 seconds to go. OCU's Tim Baker was fouled on an offensive rebound and missed the front of a one and one. Kalen took the ball the full length of the floor to score and go up by one. Coach Christopher called time out to draw the winning play but was disrupted when KCU double teamed Rickshontae Spell to cause a turnover and get possession of the ball. "We fouled and then did not get the shot off to win. Kentucky is a tough place to win on their home floor, but we had plenty of chances and just plain have to find a way to win on the road" says Coach Christopher. Sophomore Tim Baker for the Trailblazers had an outstanding game tonight going 6 for 7 from behind the three point line and going 9 for 11 over all, finishing with 24 points and 5 rebounds. Junior Point guard Rickshontae Spell played well with 15 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals. The Trailblazers are home this weekend with Boyce College Friday night at 5 pm and Ohio University Mansfield Saturday at 3 pm.
