Lady Trailblazers lost 3 home matches to the Crown College and UC-Clermont on Saturday and to defending MidEast Regional Champion Kentucky Christian on Tuesday.
Saturday, OCU lost their leading attacker to an ankle sprain that occurred during the UC-Clermont match.
"Our freshmen are getting great experience against high level opponents," said Head Coach Wes Brothers.
The men's soccer team lost their first game this year to Malone College 0-2. It was a tough opponent but a great opportunity for OCU to see how far we have come in 2 years. The Trailblazers are now 5-1-0 and will travel to St. Catharine's in Kentucky this Saturday.
Lady Trailblazers dropped their first match of the season to the Evangels of Johnson Bible College 19-25, 19-25, 21-25.
"Tonight, our youth showed through," said Head Coach Wes Brothers. "JBC's aggressiveness was too much for us tonight as we were one step behind.
The OCU men win their 5th game in a row, marking the second best win streak in OCU Men's history, second only to last years 6-0 start. The OCU men didn't do it quietly though as they gave up a 3-1 lead, to visiting Crown College, late in the game. In the 80th minute Crown scored on a rare lapse of the OCU defense and one minute later scored again on a phenomenal goal making it 3-3.
