NR4800 Christian Servant Leadership for Nursing

A clinical course designed to develop leadership and management skills in practicing nurses. Explores the role of the nurse as designer, manager, and coordinator of care, and the essential principles of leadership and management within the context of Christian caring The course examines concepts including but not limited to leadership and/or management of cultural diversity with emphasis on leading women and generations; group communication, decision making, organizational climate, quality and managing change, resources, time and money. Final capstone course in which students demonstrate their professional growth through integration of knowledge and skills showing achievement of program outcomes. (Clinical course: 3 theory credits, 1 clinical credit, 45 clock hours of clinical experience required)
